Turning Point

Happy Message

언제나 그 자리에 2011. 2. 10. 14:24

Lately, there are so many extreme events occurring that people have become very wary of trusting strangers.

Crimes against women are at its peak; people are extremely cautious about how they approach others and how others approach them.

Over protective parents warn their children of every crime that exists in the world, only to produce highly phobic children.

The church is a gathering for sinners.

It is a place where people who are conscious and aware of their sins gather.

Also, it's a congregate of people whose sins are forgiven.

More accurately speaking, it is a place for those whose sins have been erased.

The church functions as a place that frees those struggling from religious bondage and a place for those who have had their sins resolved.

It is a home where we confirm our redemption.

This is an old story,

but one day at a rural seminary, a thief entered the women's dorm.

Since these were poor seminary women, the thief could not find any money, or any possession valuable enough to steal.

Suddenly, he sighted a bulky black wallet.

As he was about to open the wallet, he heard someone approaching.

Without having the chance to see what was inside, he quickly grabbed it and scurried out of the dorm.

Once he reached his home, he realized it was not a wallet, but a book.

Since he brought it all the way home, he decided to take a look inside.

Opening the book, the first passage he read said,

"Those who steal, steal no longer. Instead, so that you may aid the poor put your hands to hard work."

The moment the thief read this verse, his heart sank.

Feeling very distraught, he gave up stealing.

In fact, he chose to enter into a live of faith and became a prominent pastor.

Some time later, his wife was cleaning the drawers of the desk when she came across a familiar book.

She asked her husband where he got this Bible.

Smiling in embarrassment, the pastor recanted his past to his wife.

When he finished, the pastor's wife smiled and said,

"This Bible belongs to me."

Shocked and astonished, the pastor couldn't help but thank God for His guidance.

In this world when a person commits a sin, they must pay the price of that sin.

In the church when a sinner confesses his sin, his sin completely disappears.

It seems like magic, but that's not it at all.

This is the power of the Gospel.

When people face problems, they easily head to a psychic, accepting whatever comes out of their mouths.

However, the only true way lives can change is when we receive the message of the Gospel.

Each word an evangelist gives is a decisive answer for our lives as well as assurance that God is guiding us in the true way of blessings.

During the ages when people were unaware of this fact, they moved without accurately knowing this blessing.

However, we are walking in an age where the light of the Gospel is beaming on us.

All we need to do is believe in the happy message of Jesus Christ who came in the form of man to die on the cross for sinners who were bound by sin.

Won't you become the recipient of this amazing good news of the Gospel?
